The Arosa Lenzerheide region is perfect for bike rides with an extra battery boost.
Normal bike or e-bike? Why not try something new? Plus: e-bike rides mean you can see twice as much in the same amount of time.
E-biking is a great way for riders of all ages and abilities to take on even the toughest trails in the Arosa Lenzerheide region. Thanks to the extra boost provided by the in-built motor, e-bike riders can cover longer distances and climb steeper gradients than they would be able to using pedal power alone. The 4000 kilometres of signposted bike trails in the Swiss canton of Grisons are open not only to mountain bikers but also, of course, to e-bikers. Many routes are open to both riders and hikers, so it is important to ride responsibly and control your speed at all times.
Guests staying at the Waldhotel Arosa can recharge the battery on their e-bike at our charging station. There is also plenty of space in front of the hotel to carry out repairs or service your bike.
E-biking is clever, if you think about it. After all, you ride further and faster while expending less energy. At the same time, it is good for your health (after all, you still have to pedal) and good for the environment. On flat sections you can do all the work yourself, while on hills you can turn on the motor with the flick of a switch and get an extra battery boost. That means e-biking is ideal for people of all ages and fitness levels. Another advantage is that rides which would normally last a whole day can be completed in a morning. Give it a go!
In summer and autumn 2019 the local REMA Bike School Arosa is offering free courses introducing guests to the basic skills needed to ride an e-bike. Riders must bring an e-bike and a helmet. Both can be hired from one of the local bike shops.
